1. Introduction
Welcome to Skipline. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at skipline.tech and use our viral waitlist platform (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
Skipline operates as a platform that enables founders and businesses ("Founders") to create and manage waitlist campaigns. When you sign up for a waitlist campaign powered by Skipline, both Skipline and the relevant Founder may collect information about you as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily provide when using our Service, including:
- •Email address — when you sign up for a waitlist campaign or create a Skipline account
- •Name — if provided optionally during signup (not required)
- •Password — hashed and encrypted, never stored in plain text, when creating a Skipline account
- •Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we never store your full card details
- •Campaign content — headlines, descriptions, and images uploaded by Founders
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Service we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- •IP address and approximate geographic location (city/country level only)
- •Browser type and version
- •Operating system
- •Pages visited and time spent on those pages
- •Referring URL (the page that brought you to Skipline)
- •Date and time of your visit
2.3 Referral Data
When you share a referral link or sign up through someone else's referral link, we record the referral relationship. This includes which referral code was used and the order in which signups occurred. We use this to calculate queue positions and award referral credits.
2.4 Information From Third-Party Login Providers
If you choose to sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive basic profile information from those providers including your email address and display name. We do not receive your password from these providers. Your use of Google or GitHub sign-in is subject to their respective privacy policies.

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Founders
When you sign up for a waitlist campaign powered by Skipline, the Founder who created that campaign has access to your full email address, your queue position, your referral count, and your signup date. They do not see your password or payment information. Founders use this information to manage their waitlist and send launch communications.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service:
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skipline, our users, or the public.
4.4 Business Transfers
If Skipline is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
4.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.
5. Public Information on Waitlist Pages
Waitlist pages powered by Skipline may display the following information publicly to all visitors:
- •Total number of signups on the waitlist
- •Number of early access spots remaining (if set by the Founder)
- •A live feed of recent joiners displayed as anonymous identifiers only (e.g. "Happy Panda joined 2 minutes ago")
- •A leaderboard of top referrers displayed as anonymous identifiers only (e.g. "Silent Fox — 14 referrals")
Your anonymized identifier is generated from your signup ID using a one-way algorithm. It is not possible for anyone to reverse-engineer your email address from your anonymous identifier.
Your anonymous identifier is consistent — you always appear as the same name on any leaderboard for the same campaign. Different campaigns may assign you different anonymous names.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
- •Waitlist signup data — retained for the lifetime of the campaign plus 12 months after the campaign is deleted or the Founder's account is closed
- •Founder account data — retained for the lifetime of the account plus 90 days after account closure to allow for recovery
- •Payment records — retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- •Email logs — retained for 90 days for deliverability troubleshooting
- •Server access logs — retained for 30 days
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@skipline.tech. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing your data is legitimate interest (to provide the Service you signed up for) and, where applicable, your consent.
7.6 California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (note: we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@skipline.tech.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@skipline.tech and we will delete that information promptly.
If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, please ensure you have your parent or guardian's permission before using the Service.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
Waitlist pages created by Founders may link to the Founder's own website or product. When you follow those links you are leaving Skipline's Service and Skipline's Privacy Policy no longer applies.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ensure that any transfer of personal data outside these regions is subject to appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes we will:
- •Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- •Send an email notification to registered Skipline account holders
